OUR ROLE in a flooring complaint is to investigate and determine the cause of the claim. We gather the facts surrounding the complaint, determine the specific cause of the problem, and prepare a written report for the commissioning party (you) that is accurate, objective, and informative.

IN SOME CASES DESTRUCTIVE TESTING IS NEEDED

    It is not uncommon that the baseboards need to be removed so we can see a gap. I charge to take baseboards off, I do not reinstall the baseboards or guarantee that the baseboards and walls will not get damaged.

THE WOOD TEST is to drive two pins into the wood to get a reading at different depths. The final reading is into the wooden sub floor making sure of the moisture difference.

   I have several non-destructive moisture meters that will read 2” into concrete and wood moisture meters that read into wood. In most cases, the Courts will not accept this type of reading.

 
OVER THE PHONE I will inform you if any destructive test should to be done. Many customers choose not allow destructive testing.
